The founder of Laughing Turtles Learning Academy
Crystal McPhail the founder of Laughing Turtles Learning Academy, a nurturing early learning center dedicated to supporting children from infancy through school age in a safe, engaging environment. Passionate about building strong foundations for lifelong success. I combine experience, structure, and heart to serve families and strengthen our community.
I created Laughing Turtles Learning Academy because I believe children deserve more than a place to stay while their parents work—they deserve a place where they are genuinely loved, encouraged, protected, and given opportunities to discover who they can become.
As a mother, educator, business owner, and someone who is deeply involved in serving my community, I have seen firsthand how important a strong support system can be for both children and their families. I also understand the challenges working parents face when trying to provide for their families while making sure their children are in a safe, dependable, and nurturing environment.
My own journey has taught me that where you start does not determine where you will finish. Education, encouragement, faith, perseverance, and having someone who believes in you can change the direction of a person's life. That is something I want every child who walks through the doors of Laughing Turtles Learning Academy to experience.
This academy is more than a business to me—it is part of my purpose. My goal is to create the kind of environment where children know they matter, parents know they have support, and families know they are part of a community that genuinely cares about their success.

Laughing Turtles Learning Academy in Gaston, NC, is committed to providing exceptional daycare and afterschool programs for children aged newborn to 12 years. We strive to create a nurturing and educational environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.

Our program will extend hours and offer flexible options to meet the needs of working families.
We will provide meals each day, depending on the hours spent. At the center, they will receive Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and a snack. The center will participate in the National Child and Adult Care Program to have clarity on components and serving sizes required for the age group, weekly.
